Hobbs opened in 1994 and we’re still going strong 30 years later.

The team are all keen cooks and can help you get the best from your cookware and our local ingredients. We recently won a National Award for Excellence in Housewares.

We stock the leading brands in cookware and also support new designers just starting out. We have a wide range of cookware, bakeware, knives, tools and some brilliant gadgets you won't know how you managed without.

Jacqui was featured in a local gallery's video art installation doing a demo on scone making. If you want to know how to make the best cream tea, pop in and ask for her recipe. All you need is here, scales, bowls, cutters and a vintage style tool to get the perfect texture - we think your granny would recognise it but will you? 

When you want to find a restaurant, a foraging lesson or the nearest farmers market, we know what’s on. Penzance has a proper greengrocers with paper bags for your veggies and a butcher who makes their own sausages. We support a switch to plastic free and have a great range of wax wraps, glass jars and other delights to help you reduce the plastic in your life. We can point you towards some brilliant refill shops nearby too.

If you are coming to Penzance from further afield, you can use our click & collect. We also deliver nationwide by courier, with age-verification for bladed items.
